Terms of Use
These terms supplement the Apple Standard End User License Agreement, which governs your licence to use KanbanDo when downloaded from the App Store.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply between you and the developer identified on KanbanDo’s TestFlight or App Store listing ("we", "us" or "our") and cover the KanbanDo app and its pages on ancap.app. By using KanbanDo, you agree to these Terms. If you downloaded KanbanDo from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA") also applies. The Standard EULA controls if there is a conflict about your app licence.
2. The service
KanbanDo is a productivity app for capturing tasks and managing personal or collaborative boards stored on your device or, when you choose, in Apple’s iCloud. We may provide fixes, compatibility updates and improvements, but do not promise that every feature or operating-system version will be supported forever.
3. Purchase and billing
KanbanDo includes one project you own for free, with no subscription or time limit on that free tier in the planned App Store version. Projects shared with you do not count toward the free-project allowance, and you do not need to purchase an upgrade to collaborate.
The planned App Store price for Unlimited Projects is US$4.99 once, as a nonconsumable in-app purchase. It removes the free tier’s one-owned-project restriction for creating, copying and importing projects. It is not a subscription, has no recurring charge and does not remove the technical capacity limits described below. Apple displays the applicable local price and taxes before purchase and handles payments, refunds, purchase restoration and transaction records under its policies. Access to KanbanDo does not include separate products released in the future.
During TestFlight: beta in-app purchases are simulated and free. They do not transfer to the App Store version or establish a paid App Store entitlement. See Apple’s TestFlight guidance.
4. Your projects
You keep ownership of the text, images and other content you enter into KanbanDo. We do not receive a licence to your project content and do not operate a server that receives it. If you choose iCloud, Apple processes that content through CloudKit. If you share a project, permitted participants can access its content, assignments, synchronised attachments and shared profile information. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your content, choosing its storage mode, controlling invitations and access, and maintaining appropriate backups.
5. Acceptable use
You must not misuse KanbanDo or the ancap.app website, interfere with their normal operation, attempt unauthorised access, distribute malware, or use them in a way that violates law or another person’s rights. Restrictions in the Standard EULA also apply.
6. Our intellectual property
KanbanDo, the ancap.app website, their visual design, code, branding and related materials belong to us or our licensors. Your purchase gives you the personal licence described by the Standard EULA; it does not transfer ownership of the app or brand.
7. Apple, iCloud and file providers
Apple’s App Store, iCloud, CloudKit sharing and any file provider you choose are independent third-party services governed by their own terms. Apple is not responsible for our website or support, except for obligations Apple accepts in the Standard EULA or applicable law.
8. Availability and changes
KanbanDo is currently available as a TestFlight beta. Access depends on compatible builds and available testing places. Each beta build can be tested for up to 90 days after upload and cannot be opened after it expires. Beta availability does not guarantee a particular App Store release date. Keep complete backups of important work.
The current app supports up to 100 projects, 1,000 tasks and 100 project-member records across the app, including owned and shared projects. A person participating in several projects has a member record in each. These are technical capacity limits, not subscription tiers or per-person charges. Image and other content limits also apply, and Apple’s iCloud storage and sharing limits remain applicable.
We may change or discontinue KanbanDo where reasonably necessary, including for security, legal or platform reasons. We will not intentionally remove access to projects you already control, but continued access may depend on your device, operating system, Apple Account, iCloud and chosen file provider.
9. Warranties and consumer rights
KanbanDo is provided with the guarantees and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer law. To the extent permitted by law, we do not make additional guarantees that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss caused by a device failure, file provider, collaboration participant, failure to keep a backup, or use outside KanbanDo’s intended purpose. Any liability that cannot be excluded is limited only to the extent the law permits.
11. Ending use
You may stop using KanbanDo at any time. We may suspend access to website services or terminate a licence only as permitted by the Standard EULA and applicable law. Ending use does not automatically delete projects stored on your device, in iCloud, in exported backups or on collaborators’ devices.
12. Applicable law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Nothing in them excludes any mandatory law, consumer protection or forum right that applies where you live.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for future app versions or website use. We will post the revised Terms and effective date here. Material changes apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise.
